Last Week

Gyldenholt Anniversary was on Saturday, June 28. A small contingent from Isles attended and had a good time.

Mistress Caterucia led a discussion about A&S Fair / Pentathlon Q&A Session on Sunday.  Discussion topics included judging rubrics, writing documentation, and a general overview of the event.  See the Pentathlon Handbook for the list of project categories and rules for entry. If you have any questions, please contact Lady Gwen.

This Week

The monthly Shire Meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, July 8, at 6:30 PM at Todde & Mora’s house. Please send any business you have to discuss to Lady Delphine so she can put it on the agenda. Rumor has it that some people will be bringing period food for tasting.

Further Away & Other Bits

Lyondemere Anniversary will be on Saturday, July 12th. The theme is “Try Something New” and will include armored, unarmored, and rapier combat;  an arts and sciences display (for which the fiber entries will use the new A&S Fair / Pentathlon judging sheets); a basket raffle fundraiser for the Barony; and, of course, the changeover of Baronage. See http://www.lyondemere.org/anniversary-2014/ for more details; email the Isles list if you would like to carpool.

Another Isles Brew Day is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, July 13th. Contact Lord Paul if you would like to make something.

Countess Jane and Baron Cormac Mor will be co-teaching a Metal Etching and Enameling Class on Sunday, July 27th at Jane’s house. Starting time to be announced soon.

Pre-registration for Great Western War (October 8-13 in Wintermist/Taft, CA) is available until August 31st.  There is an Isles camp.  Pre-registration ensures there will be more space in our camp, so please pre-register if you plan to attend. http://caid-gww.org/
